RESERVED - Grand Blue and White Chinoiserie Lidded Urn

Substantial blue and white lidded urn in chinoiserie style. A showstopper for any entryway or table! The rectangular baluster body is densely decorated with florals and a scrolling vine in cobalt blue and bordered top and bottom with a scalloped fan design. Sculpted rich blue handles on either side match the decorative handle of the lid in a form that resembles budded florals.

Excellent vintage condition with some sources dating to the 1970s. Flea bite or possibly a glaze imperfection on the back edge. The underside is marked “Made in China” along with 4 blue Chinese characters. Measures 18” x 7” x 9” and weighs over 8 pounds.
